Happy Chinese New Year!! :D

oops!! am i a bit slow?? today is chu 6 liao. :P how was ur ang pow collection drive??

my chu 1 was the same as past years. we gathered at our maternal aunt's house and had lotsa good food and of cos fun with our cousins and nephews. :D all the female cousins will intentionally dress up so that we can take nice pictures. :P everything was so so pleasant and nice.

chu 2 was totally opposite. my paternal family came over to my house as my dad is the eldest in the family. so many kids came over. erm... not that i dun like kids, but i dun like kids who touch my stuff. first they jumped on my newly-changed bedsheets, next they broke my little mirror which i placed on my dressing table in my room. and WORST of all, strummed my cello. omg... they touched my darling cello. when i heard my cello crying for help, i quickly rescued it from the chaos in my room and averted a catastrophe. obviously they (including those adults in my room) knew that i wasn't v happy about that, ordered the kids to evacuate my room. yes.. the word to use was evacuate. i wonder how their parents taught them... let's not talk about nuture here. let's talk about caring for their kids. i have a one-year-old cousin who refused to give up crawling to the kitchen where all the hot stuff were carried in and out. seemed like i was who was more worried for the toddler than his parents. i repeatedly carried him to his dad but it didnt seem that my efforts were appreciated. win liao lor. nvm... at least i have this little niece whom i like most outta the 3 kids who came over. v intelligent and bright. responded to me when i played with her. erm... but i dun quite like her mum though. rich but extremely stingy.

let's not talk about kids. let's talk about middle-aged adults. i dun understand why are there so many things they can quarrel over in the past years. there'll always be different issues they can quarrel over every year. i have this very stingy aunt who always like to pick a fight no matter how small the matter is. this year, guess what issit?? it's with regards to the amount of money in the ang pow that was given to her children. not that she herself has been giving huge ang pows over the past years. i remembered receiving a pathetic 2 bucks angpow from her. so her case here is that she claimed that she had been generous and why her children wasnt reciprocated with the same amount of generosity. i'm totally speechless when i heard that. i dun understand this kinda

well... nevertheless, there are nice ppl in my paternal family. but only a handful. erm.. maybe not handful, a palmful... in any case, i did enjoy my new year holidays. indulging myself in CNY goodies and fun. :D erm... and a bit of mugging. :P
